Miss Shop floppy hat, Dotti dress, Sportsgirl necklace

For someone that owns a sizeable collection of dresses, I really don't wear them out often enough. I think it's because I have this complex of 'saving' nice clothes for when the occasion arises, but obviously that's a ridiculous thing to do since I hardly go out anyway! I should take my own advice and just wear clothes whenever the hell I feel like it. Anyway, I wore this to a picnic on the weekend and as it turns out felt hats are a terrible idea in the hot weather. Nevertheless I still love the polished look this one adds and wear it as much as I can, which is saying a lot since I'm not typically a hat wearer!

So, how was everyone's weekend? After that short stint in Melbourne everything seems a little dull back at home, and I'm really starting to feel those post-travel blues. Then again, I’m sure I’ll be eating my words when I’m back at uni by the end of this month. Even in the summertime I love to hibernate, so I better savour it before the year really starts... Anyway, I hope you have a great week ahead of you!

  2. I've spent my time in Sydney being completely green with envy of anyone who manages to get out of an hour drive from where I am. But I have 30 skirts who never feel the sunlight because I forget they were part of my wardrobe.

  3. What a beautiful floral dress! I love floral dresses
and I think you should wear dresses more often
instead of 'saving' it c; Xx

  4. The dress is so pretty! I used to believe in saving particular items for special occasions but I no longer do that. Every day is a special occasion, so I make the most of it and I don't hesitate to wear nice/precious clothes.

  5. I totally get what you mean by wearing dresses only for fancy occasions. I sometimes feel like I am dressing up a bit too much whenever I wear a dress, haha which is why I opt for the playsuit option more. But your dress looks lovely and it is so bright and colourful, truly representing what summer is!

I can totally relate to you with feeling a little bored after Melbourne. There is just something so exciting about living in a different state. Enjoy the rest of your break before uni rolls over!

  8. Post-travel blues are a horrible thing! The dress looks perfect on you, and sometimes I feel that way too about my more nicer items. I really, really love the hat on you. I saw one in the exact style in a maroon color and I debated on buying it for like 3 days but didn't know if it would fit me - seriously need to rethink it!

  13. I do the same thing sometimes, thinking "today's not fancy enough for this dress." But then I end up never wearing the item! I love the floral print on this dress and I totally think it works for everyday casual wear. I'd love to see what shoes you paired with it.
